Bonita y Claudio - Near Future Bonnie and Clyde

Something I was experimenting with a while back. I had an idea pop into my head about a near future re-imagining of Bonnie and Clyde...with some Latin flavor to boot. So Bonita y Claudio were born, and I put this piece together. I imagined them as two young lovers in a near future Rio De Janeiro. Poverty and disease are rampant and the government has oppressed the people to the breaking point. In a desperate yet bold show of defiance, this pair sparks an uprising that might just change the face of the future.

This piece actually sat unfinished for a while because I was mixing a lot of mediums together on this to get the feel that I wanted for it and it just didn't gel with me for a while. The initial characters were 3D rendered and then put through a hefty mix of over-painting, filters, and HDR-merges.
